Welcome to SETI@Kulthea.net

This site is intended as a resource for compiling and optimising the SETI@home and BOINC clients for the SPARC64/UltraSparc processor running on the Linux platform. Step by step guides for compiling the clients are available via the links on the left and I'll also point out any issues I've come across. Optimised binaries for both the BOINC and SETI@home clients are available for download and in the future I intend to provide nightly compiles from the CVS sources.

Thanks must go to Ned Slider for his information on optimising the BOINC Client, most of what I have done has just been following his tutorials.

If you've any questions or suggestions about any of this please feel free to e-mail me at

Thanks,

Raithmir.

Happy New Year to all! Well after a short break for Christmas and the New Year I've returned to discover the hard disc in my SPARC box has died. I'll try and get a new disc and rebuild it this weekend. I'm planning on creating a statically compiled build of the client using GCC-3.4, from what I've read I should be able to make even more significant improvements moving up to 3.4.

Well, I've finally got around to creating a project page for this, yes it's very basic but I'll work on that later. If you're just here looking for the binaries, click the download link on the left. The tutorials are still a bit sketchy but I will work on those some more at a later date.
